At the One Roxborough meeting last month, Sterling Ranch principals announced that they will be dedicating their first park in the new development in honor of Roxborough resident Pat Gallagher who became a leader in the local community after initial plans for the new development emerged.
Gallagher, along with resident Greg Liptak, began meeting with neighbors to hear their concerns and together, they co-authored “Planned for Success,” a document that addressed everything from wildlife corridors to commercial zoning. Their goal was to foster a partnership between local citizens, county government and developers to ensure that the new development would positively impact the Roxborough community. As a result, all of their suggestions were incorporated into the Douglas County 2030 Master Plan.
